What’s Up, Canada?

Yesterday we biked 40km to find a fish-mongers. It was a long day.

Upon arriving home with our 1.5lb bag of mussels, we noticed the hordes of people spewing out of the pubs, bars and restaurants along Broadway. It turned out that Canada was playing America in the men’s hockey… Kind of a big deal.

We scurried home to drop off our dinner and rushed back out to catch the last period of the game. It was CAN 2 – USA 4 with 5 minutes left in the game and Canada scored! Wild! But then in the last 3 minutes Canada pulled the goalie from the net and USA got a nice breakaway and scored. Lame.

So despite our exhaustion from such a big day, we felt it necessary to console the Canadians out there who would perhaps be feeling down after such a devastating loss.

Oh yeah, we made cupcakes the other day too.
